@noiob@packetcat over the years, we've learned that tabs are a nice supplement to window management to add multiple levels of organization - in modern browsers you can also have many more tabs than windows, and tabs that haven't been recently used can be unloaded to make the browser more memory efficient.
Remains to be seen if split windows will end up being useful long term, but it certainly seems like a much more constructive innovation than adding a sidebar that lets you chat with an LLM.
