@ChocoMintPuppy I basically never ever played it with the front light off. Because like, then you just get a regular GBA screen and those are the champions of not letting you see shit

@noiob @ChocoMintPuppy I once soldered a capacitor in the wrong place in a GB cartridge that had a battery and it would make the frontlight turn on when I inserted it into the console even if if was off lol

@Siph @noiob I was trying to take a photo but funnily enough its a lot clearer on the photo than it is irl, so... T_T

@ChocoMintPuppy @noiob yeaah it’s not going to be reperesentative but still idk I find it fine. But also I’ve only been playing Pokémon on that mostly so maybe other games are more problematic

also argh. The battery in this is fairly new but somehow after 20 mins I already got the red light. Not sure if something else is wonky. I remember opening it up to try and clean the power switch cause that somehow causes it too but no dice,
