The old movies do have their strong parts, like, for instance, Angelina Jolie who plays Original Lara really well. I mean there's also the plot, but as an okay action movie they're both a good time. The first one is way better though awoo.space/media/6wQdvdDtBhRru

but let's get back to the games, which all had some high-polygon-count renders to go with them. No pointy bits here! (technically, everything from 2 on was non-pointy, but hey, that classic triangle boob look is still a meme)

Obligatory level editor appreciation post! I really need to play with this more. The Tomb Raider Level Editor came on the game disc (I think 4 and 5, but I'm not sure?) and it's the exact tool the designers used to build the game's levels. It was (and still is) also available online. It comes with a great tutorial written by one of the designers which includes interesting bits about the design of the levels in the actual games.

The level editor will open the actual game's files, I think, which is super cool if you wanna see how they work. There's also a ton of fan-created levels online, including those that were made with a fan-patched version of the TRLE, allowing for more complex modelling and mechanics

Not much to be said about this one. It's bad. The game is bad. They tried to make a new, advanced Tomb Raider but they ran out of time and it shows everywhere. Still an interesting entry in the series and the title that led to the first reboot

I think I'll continue this tomorrow by talking about this gem! For now, good night, Masto!
