@theoutrider What kind of NAS do you use? I'm thinking of getting one.
@theoutrider Ah, I was looking at the 220 myself (ebuyer lists it as max 8TB per drive, but I doubt I'm going to go above that before the hardware goes obselete).
Are there any you know of that are higher-budget you'd have gone for otherwise? I wasn't sure how much pricetag would affect things realistically, I'ved heard that Zyxel and such have similar problems for "Has some software, but that will never, ever be updated".
@theoutrider I'm not server-savvy enough to try the Raspi approach;- A friend recommended it, and even offered to send me her old one..
But rn I don't have the time + energy to learn the background + practicalities well enough to be remotely confident I wouldn't be leaving holes in my network security big enough for Godzilla to set himself up as admin, yknow? ><
