@daylight I have not been keeping up with recent cycles and having played against a fair amount of Simic Commander stuff, Roalesk (and Vorel!) are *terrifying*. 0_0;

@daylight with the "I have v. little idea of the cardpool of the past 3 years or so" caveat;

- I'd stick Cultivate and/or its copies (Kodama's Reach, probably others I've forgotten) in there somewhere. Reasoning that Green has such fierce landramp that if you've got a lot of green, it makes sense + enables everything else you wanna do

- I'd replace Appetite for the Unnatural with Gleeful Sabotage. 2 mana vs 3 mana is a big jump for 2 life, and GS has added utility. Naturalize is a cheaper $ alternative (GS is about $2.~)

- You've got some Blue stuff where you're paying a lot more for added mill or to send to the top of the deck (Thought Collapse & Totally Lost). There's a lot of Blue "return target permanent to it's owner's hand" cards that are more affordable in CMC;- Cheaper + you can hold the mana back during your opponent's turn without raising so many eyebrows.

Deadeye Navigator [amazing recurrable blink]
Steady Progress, Tezzeret's Gambit, Fuel for the Cause, Contagion Clasp (I'd add Contagion Engine but it's $8-15) [more Proliferate options]
- Simic Manipulator, Zameck Guildmage, Master Biomancer, Bioshift [moving/multiplying counters]
- Command Tower [general goodstuff land]

@daylight fwiw I tried to stick to ones that are <$1 (Deadeye Navigator is like, $2-3 iirc), so unless I goofed none of them ought to be ohgod-expensive
