hot take: Going off about Transgender Language
gender identity is a cis word
gender dysphoria is a cis word
(both of the above were built to distance us from validity)
egg is a trans word
girldick is a trans word
babytran is a trans word
we should push harder at taking our identity into our own language.

why core sex?
because it does what it says on the tin, no effective arguing with it. Its the trump card - someone who doesnt understand anything about trans health will still infer its meaning from reading it. Sex and Gender are used interchangeably in medical and legal terminology, the only place sex and gender are treated as separate nouns is in feminist theory with the whole "gender is a social construct" but that part of us isnt that, that part of us that makes us us, is core and cant be overwritten. Even NHS England, Terf Island is admitting now that Gender Identity has a biological component therefore its sex. Sure we play with gender as much as everyone else ontop of our core, we also explore it to figure out what it is, but that core part of us isnt a social construct, its not gender in the feminist theory idea of it, though we had to park it there for the last half century. We had to force ourselves to survive in the margins of feminist literature through the 60s til the 10s often being written by masc eggs and we shouldnt still be leaving ourselves in those margins.

why gender trauma?
because dysphoria is a word invented to mask the seriousness and validity of whats happening to the trans person that has and is fucking up their life. It's a word that means bad feeling, oh so like stubbing my toe dysphoria, or i dropped my pizza on the floor dysphoria. No mf its trauma. Cis people dont understand what dysphoria means, and if you're explaining then you've already lost. Cis people know what trauma is, they know how to treat people with trauma, they have their own trauma too. And theres treatments for serious trauma that can help and would you believe it, they help for Gender Trauma too.

The only reasons we had to exist in those feminist definition margins, was because transgenderism was a mental illness through all those years, through all those definitions.
But thats over now, being transgender is a natural part of life, we should be casting off the terms that are about denying that.
we need to step forward.
re: hot take: Going off about Transgender Language
@siege Yeah, the whole "sex and gender are separate, sex is physical and gender is psychosocial" thing as 'trans friendly' is something I've had to pull up cis friends about.. It's regurgitated 2nd wave feminism that boils down to just being plain old essentialism in another wrapper.
re: hot take: Going off about Transgender Language
@pastelbat @siege tbh one of the worst concepts cis people ever got their hands on 🙄 as always ‘gender and stop signs are both constructs; ignore either one of them & get hit by a car’
