@GenTollis @erinbee It is incredibly rude to both groups; Please don't use it for either (unless an individual specifically says they prefer it for themselves). It is loaded with so much cultural baggage, none of it good.

Actual wheelchair use is not as binary as your toot suggests, and 'bound' still has negative connotations in the latter sense.
