whenever monolyth needs help with theirs, i use a tough rag to flatten out burs, and then a dishcloth to buff a shine into them. the polish i like to use is just some off-brand body lotion, makes ivory shine very nicely in the sun if you work it in right. also doesn't irritate skin as much as oil-based horn polish!
