i don't think i've ever seen a game actually get into the nitty-gritty of logistics. like sure you need warehouses and stuff but let me detail how many folks are running forklifts around and where they're going, i want to have so many options i die

ideally pepsi and coca cola mixed together should cause an explosion

mastodon in theory: decentralized twitter

mastodon in practice: what if we pooled ten different early-2000s opinionated web forums together into a thunderdome

i just realised why i can't think basically at all as of late

i'm the fucking administrator. i dial back higher functions *on purpose*. i'm literally running in administrator override mode

introducing Google Grey, the first neural backup system that features full cloud functionality, dramatically increasing upload and download times

im Bitchin. not about anything, its more of a quantitative statement

tho the mf nearly passed out of heat exhaustion and they thought they'd have to re-enter with the door open cuz there was no way they were pulling the guy in if he was unconscious

so i reiterate; cooling systems! have them!

i say this knowing full well that the gemini spacesuits existed

i'm a bit of a spacesuit purist. i can totally appreciate the slim fit but i like the bulk of a proper suit.

keeping yourself cool is the first thing you gotta do in space; keeping yourself warm is second to that, and the typical response is to just make sure there's a lot of cooling going on via a fluid circulation layer in the suit itself. that shit is bulky.

reason why they have those big packs full of life support tech; good part's batteries, good part's pumps

it isnt exactly comfortable but wearing a respirator isn't comfortable either

ideally the utility section would provide environment configuration for operator comfort and the seat may be more of a full chair rather than a simple pedestal, but the brutalist in me says people will survive

here is a nice diagram
the pressure vessel has sections that are able to be rearranged via bolt cuffs:

A is the vessel cap; there are two per end, and some can be twist-locked much like a spacesuit helmet
B is the head section with the viewing window and other visual assistant gear (holographic hud, relevant data readouts, etc)
C is the mid section and holds the control deck that's heavily customisable
D is the footwell section that provides additional control options via pedals, buttons etc

spacesuit and general space PPE design in the Microcosm is very much centred around generalised ergonomics, or the science of One Size Fits All

ideally there should be form factors and sizes for each with options for tailoring and that's the limit of it. very much also designed to cleanly integrate with other tech

the exomech is an extension of that idea and, for all intents and purposes, is a capsule with limbs connected to it, designed for industrial work in adverse environments

zipties are the most useful thing to ever be invented in the modern era

i hope when yellowstone erupts i'll have enough blankets for the volcanic winter

so im finally starting to write up on an industrial disaster in the Microcosm because it's something i've always been interested in writing about
sequences of events are my specialty
