Empathy isn't being able to understand "how would I in that person's situation?", it is being able to understand "how would that person feel in their situation?"
I think the part where you don't actually matter to the answer is the part that people have trouble with.

@Fuego oh, it would indeed. it would surely help with my anxiety as well. and people here at work are not only the "we're not racists but" kind of racists, they are queermisic and think everything is right and good with capitalism because meritocracy!

@what@mastodon.social ive noticed a change in me and my mind after i started using computers frequently. i dont know how to explain, but i feel what you mean. maybe our human brains are not ready yet to deal well with computers, i dont know. mostly i ignore this discomfort tho, because i like computers and need them. sometimes its good to take a break tho.

i hate not having anything to do but i also dont like to do some things i have to do
