re: a take on gender expression
my aim when i initially began cutting my hair shorter was never to look more boyish or masculine, it was to look less girlish and feminine, and that shouldn't necessarily have to equate to being more masculine somehow
in other ways, i actually began presenting *more* femininely than i ever had in my entire life before being openly nonbinary so fuck people thinking long hair is inherently girly anyways
re: a take on gender expression
like just what the hell
i thought i'd be okay with people thinking my avatars were boys a long time ago but it bothers me more than i thought it would
i actually kind of feel like they're more feminine than masculine, somehow, and... i dunno, it just feels weird to have people tell me otherwise, after being called a girl irl for so long
but boy-ness shouldn't be the default for anybody with short hair and a flat-looking chest
re: self positivity
huge shoutout to a single tutorial i found on flipnote hatena when i was like eleven that showed me how to animate smoothly and easier and all the basics
from there, i began heavily studying how others animated
i've never forgotten it ever since and it's helped me so much in developing my animating skills and i hope the person who made that tutorial is doing very well now
procreate sure is weird when it comes to animating!
still better than every other mobile animation app i've encountered so far
nervous rambley
