negative opinions about popular video game

I really don't understand the excitement around Borderlands 3? I found 1 and 2 to be dreadfully tedious and dull. The novelty wears off soooo quickly.

re: negative opinions about popular video game

@shaderphantom I only played 2 and I played about 50 hrs of it but at that point I was just bored of it? Like gee I get to sort through another fifty weapons and shoot hundreds of mobs for a few minutes of story

re: negative opinions about popular video game

@noiob the problem I found is that it had all of the strappings of Diablo 2 with HORRIBLE pacing and very little sense of power creep (something that makes these kinds of loot grinds feel good in general)

@noiob it doesn't really respect the player's time at all and it feels like, well, I could be playing another _better_ shooter that doesn't have ARPG elements

@shaderphantom also explains why I like Destiny 2

re: negative opinions about popular video game

@noiob oh god, yeah. destiny 2 gets everything right that borderlands gets wrong.

@shaderphantom yeah, like there's tons of guns but at least the good ones all feel different and your abilities actually feel powerful

and also you can just run through the story if you wanna see it and level quickly
