Honestly I am utterly shocked that they are choosing to pull a Path of Exile 2.
PSO2NGS will be run concurrently with PSO2 and will support cross-compatible character data (to an extent)

With the new successor class coming soon and still not quite Level 100 cap yet, that leaves me questioning what they're planning to do with the game after NGS launches.
