suspend raki.social, it's ran by some techbro who seems intent on datamining the fediverse

so far it's tried to follow everyone with two bots, one clearly marked (@riker) and one unmarked as a "social experiment" (@swift)

the person running the instance isn't clear on their intent with these bots, but they have mused on the fact that you can datamine with federation bots (raki.social/@33b5e5/1006751342) which seems to me like they want to hide their intent

there is minimal collateral from suspending this instance -- only 22 users with 103 statuses, most of the interaction has been said datamining bots

email being federated but eventually centralized was a byproduct of capitalism and not because such a design was a solution to abuse/spam, and we are led astray when we think this way.

abuse vectors require better, cooperative moderation tools, which we should be designing/building and stronger social support systems for moderators and their labor.
