legend has it what happened is they went to los angeles while recording and promoting creepin on ah comeup and while there heard myka9 with the freestyle fellowship, bit mike's thesis about "my voice is miles's trumpet" and became kind of a horn quartet. they never did anything as cohesive as "e.1999 eternal" ever again though.
keeps escalating from an arrest, police brutality, false charges and imprisonment, trial, escape, war on the precinct; from multiple perspectives with each vocalist getting a different movement in the accompaniement. sooooo muuuuuch tennnnnsion and then they all get to go back to hanging out and smoking weed, as they do.
the fucking storytelling and sound collage of "down '71", i lose my shit every time.
bone thugs' album "e.1999 eternal" is some of the best sound design i ever heard in my life, go check out those sweet gothic boys from cleveland.
the more vocalists the better, no such thing as too many
there needs to be more bands with more than one vocalist

occurs to me recently cities depend on their homeless populations (and keep them liquid) for quick cash. bust a camp, force tenants to replace everything, collect sales tax, repeat (in less time than it takes for folks to get their feet back under them). displacement is an economic imperative in capitalism ayyyy.
