Psst hey, councilmembers have public email addresses. Not that it apparently fucking matters when amazon can just throw money into paid signature gathering and disinformation.
I wrote to my councilmember anyway:

I'm a resident of District [redacted], and I am both shocked and dismayed by your decision to repeal the head tax. If you're not willing to stand up to big businesses using their money to spread fear and disinformation, then you don't have the courage necessary to hold office. This was never going to be easy.

"As a city councilmember, you are the one of the prime political powers in Seattle. Capitulation only shows weakness. If giant corporations wanted to fight against solutions to homelessness, then that's a fight I expected you to take on wholeheatedly.
It's a joke to call this city democratic when corporate funding for paid signature gatherers is enough to cause an immediate policy reversal.
