When my mom died, I didn't feel quite this way. I was sad, yes, but it was different.
She died of cervical cancer, and knew it was coming for months. She chose the time to stop getting life-extending treatment. She and everyone around her had plenty of time to reach acceptance. Though it was definitely too soon it felt... natural, cyclic. There was no shock when she finally passed.
This doesn't feel anything like that.

Also, y'all, please get HPV vaccinations and pap smears.
She did a lot of outreach on this topic in the months before her death.
