Defining them beyond that gets complicated as the number of folks who identify with the term has grown large enough as to dilute and diversify any more specific definition to the point of obscurity.

Postfurry says "okay, we can go even further than that. What if we claim authorial control over every aspect of identity? We're animal-people sure, but that's only a starting point.
