We got this. We've got each other.
And a whole lot of the time 'each other' is complicated and fraught and hard. Sometimes relationships end because they need to. Sometimes we mess up. Sometimes we hurt each other. Sometimes we can't see past our own bullshit.
Love and trust and friendship are still the most important fucking thing we have in this world. Let's celebrate that even as we struggle to do the best we can by each other.
Winter Solstice is the most important day of the year for me. It's when I mark the boundary between one year and the next. It's a day of celebrating endurance and remembering to always hope, knowing that brighter days will surely come.
I'm so glad to be heading into the next year with all of you.
