heck I played some of that game to try and relax and now I am actually way more tense.
I'm still going on about The Long Dark
Example: I was really aggressively recycling found clothing to keep my own gear in top condition which was *fine* and maybe even correct, but bit me in the ass when an animal attack destroyed my rather nice hats and gloves in a -20C windchill with no shelter nearby and no backup clothing.

So a thing about this game is that the time between "make a decision" and "realize if it was a mistake or not" can be anywhere between like 30 seconds to a couple of hours. And even when you do get immediate feedback on a mistake, it's often another 10min or more before you can figure out if it's actually recoverable or not.
That's *way* longer than most games.
And it means second-guessing everything in a way that's pretty cool but also kind of intense.
