@bea I use AA NiMH batteries! Really handy for my flashlight and headlamp where I wanted the flexibility of AA but, y'know, rechargable and not alkaline.

@starkatt yeah! they're still a thing just not for applications that need/benefit from the higher energy density of lithium batteries! phones, cars, possibly power grid storage stuff... well better not get carried away
