@TipsyTentacle@witches.town Elder Scrolls deities would make a pretty cool naming scheme :)

'Not like other girls'/trans stuff

@Firstaide ...okay this is really dang relatable. Woah.

coping with bad feels

When I start to go from "ahhhh thank you for being louder than the stuff in my brain" to "okay this actually is pretty dang loud, hrm", that's a good sign that it's working.

coping with bad feels

@nire@witches.town when I think to do it at all I'm pretty okay at finding stuff that works.

coping with bad feels

One of the most effective things I can do when having a bad night is to put on my headphones and turn the music *really* loud. It helps drive other stuff out of my brain.

It's a really good tool and I'm glad I have it. Music is important and good.

I tell myself "space is big", but seeing this demo of how far away the nearest star is kind of broke my brain.

ee just caught myself in the mirror and had one of those "hey, it's a girl!" moments. Even six years in that's still really nice.

@nire@witches.town Yeah, no worries, I wasn't trying to ask you for feedback on this as much as admitting the possibility to myself, somewhere durable?

@nire@witches.town (this toot doesn't require a response)

@nire@witches.town Damn. I hope I'm not in that territory with my folks :/

...the fact that I can't for sure say I'm not is kind of bad.

(this test isn't mine. It was relayed to me by a partner, after I implicitly asked to be comforted at a really inopportune time)

Actionably useful test: if you say something and the only possible responses are to comfort you or sound like a gigantic asshole, you're asking for emotional labor.

It's something I for one need to be a lot more conscious of, especially with the people closest to me.

(this is not a subtoot of anyone or anything, promise)

@Ratttz I think lack of reasonable proportionality is one of the primary reasons why people don't use the extant court system to settle disputes.

@Ratttz tbh I think it's kind of hard to imagine any justice system ("system" in the very loose sense) that isn't going to be a little haphazard, ultimately. Legalism is an attempt to enforce uniformity, but we know that this means a neglect of context and proportionality.

@aprrrl@witches.town Without knowing more information, it sounds like a good thing you were there. Standing up is hella hard and you have my respect for it.

:hugs:

@Ratttz I have questions about coordination and justification of use of force under anarchism, but that's a separate topic :)

I'm definitely a fan of community restorative justice as an ideal, but I have the concern that social groups don't always have the motivation to engage necessary for an actual justice process.
