@cyndisision@witches.town I'm gonna run out of episodes to watch soon!

I've been watching a lot of The Expanse lately, and Weeping Somnambulist is one of the best names for a spaceship I have ever seen.

In all seriousness part of what is prompting me to try and learn more music theory is wanting to better understand what's going on in some of the Breath of the Wild tracks.

@literorrery I'm taking a break and will catch up on all those in a bit.

@literorrery I was neutral on this until about 3:20, when it turned awesome.

@literorrery I also really like "Regurgitation Pumping Station" from that OST.

@literorrery Hee, I really enjoy that one but haven't listened in forever :) I didn't know the backstory and that makes it so much better.

@literorrery Oh, because it looks super pretty and I'm half thinking I want a better graphics card to play it?

@literorrery Okay. I think I'll wait. I have sale notifications on that game. I should have picked it up this steam sale, but... didn't for some reason.

@literorrery If I do want to play it at some point, should I hold off on listening?

"Paperhouse", Neotokyo (2009), Ed Harrison.

Y'know, I've never actually played the game, but the soundtrack is just so damn good.

I can't remember who said it, but something that really stuck in my head is the line "One sign that a composition is truly great is if it also sounds good in re-arrangements."

Oh, if you like the music for FTL, this fan re-arrangement of Space Cruise / MilkyWay is jawdropping.

"Pushing Onwards", VVVVVV (2010), composed by Magnus Pålsson (SoulEye).

So delightfully crunchy and bouncy. Again, the whole soundtrack to this game is worth a listen.

@starkatt The whole Bastion sound track is super important to me. ♥️

Also, from the new Zelda Breath of the Wild game, the first Divine Beast Va Ruta's dungeon music took my breath away and filled my eyes with tears. (...granted, I'm very susceptible to emotional responses from music. ^^;)

I set the video to start at the point you pass the first challenge of the dungeon. After completing each of the 5 challenges, the music changes slightly.

@mawr Oh wow I definitely didn't see her hit this tempo change. Holy shit.
