@Azure I am perfectly willing to think of Bentham as "probably an improvement over the norms of the time, not someone I want to use as a model."

@Azure So I'll admit I know only a summary version of his ideas, but Utilitarianism is something as I see as a useful thing to consider as input data but a dangerous thing to treat as end-goal. A whole pile of it though is that anyone who thinks the Panopticon is a model of justice is someone I want very far away from me.

@Azure I agree that private property is a mistake, but Bentham is someone I just have a visceral aversion to, and Foucault is probably one of my biggest influences :)
