It turns out pieces of meteorite are a thing you can just go out and buy. They aren't even that expensive, if you get chunks from one of the more prolific falls.

I have a bunch of smaller ones, and a couple of bigger ones. Was selling them at one point.

Re-wrapped my meteorite fragment to wear as a necklace again. I've been meaning to do that for quite a while now.

Frustrating is that the manufacturer sells two VERY similar models, and they're both well-regarded, but the sound sample videos from the retailer are recorded in two totally different environments so I can't actually compare the sound, or find much online directly comparing them

...I ended up getting the one I liked the color of more.

...okay maybe some stuff from BOTW if it transcribes okay.

...just on principle, I'm not gonna play any Zelda music :p

So yeah I just bought a highly-regarded bright yellow plastic alto ocarina :D

Hm, does anyone have experience with ocarinas?

Does anyone have suggestions for an instrument that's affordable and relatively easy to pick up for someone who might be spotty at practicing?
