what do you call a covenant between awoo.space and witches.town?

a wolfpact

It doesn't help that I'm novice enough to not quite understand a lot of the cards and the art on Wild Unknown is a little esoteric a lot of the time.

Show thread

This might be a weird question, but does anyone have advice for practicing and gaining familiarity with a tarot deck that I apparently find pretty intimidating? (Wild Unknown)

It feels resonant but also like it'll fuck me up and not care and that's made me hesitant to engage.

This place is friendly enough that it feels possible to say hi to strangers without them necessarily feeling threatened and that is so nice.

(this made me realize that responding to a stranger's post is seen as threatening everywhere else :/ )

Okay I discoursed and kinda wish I hadn't. I need to remind myself that I don't need to join every topic of conversation. will do better next time.

Seriously though I can't get over how happy I am to find a social media platform where my public timeline is people who are some combination of witches, queers, and anticapitalists.

Wait, oops, I accidentally a word in that first toot: copper adhesive foil.

I thiiiink I can get access to a lasercutter? The harder part is actually getting a design; I sketched a few but didn't have any I was happy enough to move forward with. Also I don't really know how to make vector art with any kind of proficiency.

Okay though I've been low-key meaning for a while to put a protection sigil on my hard hat, but earlier today I had the idea of lasercuttering one out of adhesive foil. That would be, like, elementally resonant with it's purpose. :D

Welcome to Whose Awoo is it Anyway, the platform where the likes are now flurbs and the timeline goes sideways. I'm your host Katt Lastname, and today we're gonna play a game called "friend or followbot?"

Show thread

Okay since apparently people are talking about this: Incentivising chasing follower counts is probably detrimental in the long run, but when someone follows me looking at their follower and following counts can tell me a lot about whether I really want to engage with them. Particularly popular accounts can pose a level of exposure risk that is sometimes better to avoid.

straight people: you /never/ see many queers hanging out with each other, that's not realistic

queers: okay but what if 40000 of us make our own gay leftist social network and also call everything toots

Ahahaha I'm seeing speculation that the blue Mastodon logo is a play on "the timeline goes sideways" and if so that's truly wonderful.

For my day job, I wrestle long coils of specially-shielded refined semiprecious metal into the walls and ceilings of buildings. I use this metal to channel artificially-generated versions of the power of clouds and thunderstorms into living areas so people can use it for light, cooking, and communication. I have to install special safety devices to stop it from accidentally killing people.

I'm a hecking lightning sorceress.

By early 2017, possession of awoo had been legalized in nearly 50 states.

Also, the coolest hoodie ever got in today, after three weeks in the mail shipping from Poland.

Life has started making a lot more sense for me now that I've given up the idea that that subjective universe I inhabit is the same as (or even really corresponds with) the universe made out of atoms and math.

minor injury

Whoops cut my thumb a little while washing a kitchen knife. It really wouldn't be that big a deal, but that's the thumb I use for swype...
