I think having enjoyed that 150LY trans-Bubble sprint is decent evidence that exploration and tourist missions are where I want to spend my time in this game :)

I also hauled 8T of rares on the way, and while the profit on that was decent, something about commodity shipping just grates at me. Maybe it's having to open an external window for supply/demand info.

Now that I've figured out how to actually do it properly, fuel scooping requires focus yet is still is chill/calming. That's nice :)

Ohh, okay. If I scan the nav beacon I get the whole system map, but if i use the discovery scanner there's a range limit.

...that would have saved me flying to both other suns of this trinary system.

I really need to get better at checking the estimated arrival distance before accepting missions.

Thinking "oh this'll be quick" then getting in-system and finding I need to spend ten minutes cruising to a distance binary or whatever is super annoying.

So like the Space Neoliberals seems like the least awful of the major powers?? Maybe?

I kinda want to get better about telling friends I love them, but also "love" is a really overloaded word in english so it's easy to worry it'd get misread.

Heck though, commodity hauling just seems like such a shit way to try and make money. a few kilobucks in irritating, grubbly profit isn't worth it when you can get >50k for even basic missions on a good day.

Hey so even if your surgeon's office says "just give us the documentation and we'll take care of the insurance approval", don't trust that they'll actually do it.

I just called my insurer to say "hey how's that pre-authorization coming, do you need anything else from me?" and they apparently hadn't even received the pre-auth request from my surgeon, with less than two months before showtime.
