As a sidenote here, while discussing myths in terms of cultural/socialization utility (i.e. hey we have a myth to teach a lesson about how to behave) is sometimes an interesting lens, I find it *painfully* limiting when it's the only lens used. It's even worse when myths are framed as *only* existing for cultural utility.

The first time I came in I was vectored to Pad 43, which had a Dolphin already parked in it just happy as a clam. I had to exit and re-request docking.

A couple minutes later I saw an AI vessel furiously grinding itself against the Dolphin, hopelessly attempting to land.

Where "truth" reside depends in large part on what lens you're using to slice a problem domain, and a thing can be simultaneously true in different locations on different slices! Lenses can be chosen based both on utility and aesthetic merit! And the use of lens is extremely contextual!
