My mom wants me to visit for Thanksgiving. I’m giving a lot of thought to how much I want to spend time around people who will shortly be voting in favor of my civil rights being removed. Right now the answer is “not much”.

I'm going to send her a message outlining these thoughts, but I'm not optimistic about the outcome.

Jury duty today! I am excited to participate in our broken justice system.

It will take possibly as long as a couple months for my new boobs to settle into final shape/position, but here's a quick "after" for the curious.

They told me the ears and horns are a perfectly normal side effect.

A funny thing from the hospital before the boob surgery:
Nurse: "Have you had a hysterectomy or your tubes tied?"
Me, oblivious to why I'm being asked and just happy to be passing with no makeup: "Nope!"
Nurse: "Okay, pee in this." *hands me a cup*

<later>
Nurse: "Okay, you're not pregnant."
Me: "I figured. It would take an above-average level of miracle for that to happen."

Updating everywhere: Today was boob day. I'm back at the hotel and feeling sore. Shape is weird until they settle but the size looks perfect.

I'm not convinced that Florida should really be considered "habitable".

Feels pretty good that someone can see a male name come up for me on a computer and think, "Oh, the computer is wrong."

Next week I get to design part of my irl body the way I would for a fursona. Exciting. :D

Can I have a hobby that's just "driving at night while listening to electronic music"?

Surgery in about 3 weeks. It suddenly feels extremely close. X3

Today I got the preop labs done. I definitely have that excited/nervous feeling coming on.

Losing weight as a relatively new trans person is like, dammit, I just bought these pants and now they're falling off.

There's a new season of Bake Off available. I got a few episodes in before I realized it will be a good chill show for surgery recovery watching and I should save it.

Ever since Twitter nerfed my 3rd party client, I'm more interested in posting funny stuff here. 3 faves that I can see is better than 20 that I can't.

I once intentionally mispronounced "pedant" in front of my dad and he just stared at me and let it pass.

A friend has a young daughter who is super into My Little Pony. He says they have to occasionally remind her that humans don't get cutie marks. "...except Miss Katie."

I got my extremely esoteric joke tee reprinted on a better quality shirt.

Me: "I want to order this costume but I don't know what my measurements will be."
Friend: "Didn't you give the surgeon specs?"
Me: "I gave him a mission statement."

My dad continues to refer to my transition as my "transformation" and I am never going to correct him.

Looks like I'm getting off of the boring contract I've been on for a year. New one has interesting problems and should also pay more.

I'll be there about 3 weeks before I take 3 days off for breast augmentation. X3
