kinda proud of how well i'm adapting to competitive play
it took until the most recent tournament for me to finally lean more into strategising, sticking with the team, charging specials for pushes, acting on callouts, etc
instead of just being overwhelmed by commentators, two teams, and an audience all talking about things in the same room

it's too bad i got even less screen time in this tourney because i was playing so much better
but also, the people who got most of the screen time definitely deserved it for how much they were contributing, wow

but yeah! it's kinda wild how much not getting into your own head and conditioning yourself can change how you do~
i also found it a lot easier without the constant curse of the eyes making me feel extra pressure, because of how much that just destroys my ability to focus

@thingywott thank you! i've practised it a lot, it's basically necessary for me to take space in maps with choke points (mincemeat, undertow) as well as facing hp specials, and dealing with backlines w/ little risk
if i just run in and use my main weapon it usually goes poorly for me, so i've been adapting to a slower playstyle where i paint mid and lob bombs at range until i have special to help me get in, and the tristrike/splat bomb combo is basically second nature at this point

@cinnamon what's especially wild is that even though we didn't really practice much together, there was such a sharp improvement all-around this time!
and on top of the fact that you played sooo much more confidently, your special + bomb combo was also amazingly effective, and we definitely wouldn't have gone as far as we did without that..!
