https://morethanone.info/ only skimmed this but it seems good? might give it a read and drop a link later into somewhere that amy plans to introduce herself if i work up the nerve
like there's no reason you drop this into a general channel other than leading up to "and i'd like you to meet the other person in my head with me" lmao
the intention was to kind of feel out a response like "how safe would it be for amy to introduce herself" and uhhh i guess we're going to find out lmao they're going to read this and know
my whole fucking friend group is queer
one of us came out as gay first. one of us came out as trans first. and i bet they were pretty scared
i have an extra hurdle to jump of "depending on how online you are you might not even know what the word means, there's a good chance i'm introducing you to this concept now" but
i don't know. we'll see
i didn't emotionally prepare for "what if nobody says anything at all" lmao. like i had started to wonder what we'd do if someone said "that's not real" or whatever but i didn't consider "what if nobody says anything"
maybe if amy's up for it we'll just bite the bullet later. just send like a "okay fine here's why i posted it" message
@monorail you've got this!
i know it might feel scary to introduce something like this to people who don't know about it--but these are already people who like you~ ^^
@monorail gosh, i could hardly imagine words like that coming from a space where you can already comfortably exist--much less coming from everyone simultaneously in said space
like, that would even be true of pretty much any space that has any degree of empathy for people different than them outside of the status quo
plus like, plurality isn't hyper-uncommon either! so some of them may already have already heard about it too~
