this whole situation with kiwifarms is deeply confusing to me
i think that we need to believe victims, because it's extraordinarily hard to come forward with nasty things when you are abused...this is especially true for things like CSA
but the source of all of these nasty accusations is coming from a place that is known for being a cesspool that tries it's hardest to ruin the lives of the people they don't like by circlejerking a mixture of out of context bits with outright lies

this puts me in a really confusing place, and if the source was literally ANYWHERE else, i wouldn't feel so much doubt
my problem is that the recent events look just like all of their other harassment campaigns, but in this case i don't know who the victims *actually* are...and getting it wrong either way would make me feel extremely bad

if i side, i might accidentally side with doctored lies and ruin the life of a marginalized creator who has been preyed on relentlessly for years, or side with someone who has unforgivably ruined the lives of children
instead i find myself paralyzed, because i don't want to do either of these things. i want to do what's right, but i can't know what is right with the current information
i want the truth, and it's killing me
