it has been pointed out to me that it's friday, and the harvest moon happens tonight
witchy things are on my mind today
@typhlosion Friday the 13th, no less!!
@witchfynder_finder i meant to say friday the 13th but i guess i unconsciously skipped that part, wow
see this kind of oversight is why i need to fill the spiritual void in my life
witchy things
@typhlosion Want a boost on this?
witchy things
@BatElite sure
re: witchy things
@typhlosion I tend to say that finding your own path (to being a witch) is far more important than trying to stick to common (and generally apporative) aesthetics and the likes! So I'm glad that you're realizing that too! ;o;
You can definitely, however, be a collector of pretty rocks w/o being a witch and that's valid, but if you're more serious about learning to do witchy stuff then it might be worth looking for a coven , online or in the flesh, who can help you out.
It's been a while since I've done anything in big groups though so sorry for having minimal resources about that! (Most of the communities I know about are kinda outdated sobs!;;)
re: witchy things
@Mottie eclecticism definitely appeals to me more than any prescribed way. i'm sure whatever i end up with will, like basically everything else in my life, be highly syncretic and based on the stuff i'm interested in
i suppose walking this part of the path largely on my own is part of the nature of the thing. the first step is probably just lots of research and writing things down
re: witchy things
@typhlosion That's a good place to start! I think being well informed on the origins of the beliefs and practices that you're trying to incorporate into your own is very important , too.
witchy things
i guess part of my difficulty is that i want to take it seriously. the aesthetic appeals to me, but i don't want to get into this stuff so i can have a witch staff and some pretty crystals to show off on social media. i think learning and adhering to a practice like this will help my discipline and focus and maybe help me meet people, and i want it to come from a place of earnest belief, from my principles and my own personal core of spirituality.
with that in mind, how do i begin?
