i think a better take is that social media, as it stands and is carried out today, is a mistake.
it snowballed into a garbage fire, but its core conceit isn't a bad thing.

@typhlosion @Kyoji i personally think it is better, since CWs and the general culture fediverse has makes this place a whole lot better for my mental health. hell, i'm still on a big break from twitter right now since my mind has been in a declining state as of late.
being on fedi, depsite the recent drama going around, has been better for my mental health than even just briefly looking on twitter for two seconds.

but without it, i as a person would cease to be able to be social in a way that i feel comfortable in. and i'm certain a lot of other people are in the same boat as me. well, i like to be certain about that, since i don't know of anyone else like me.
@typhlosion @Kyoji the only forums i use are the fuckin SRB2 forums lmao, and they also introduce a swathe of problems for me in particular due to how i am as a person if it were to become my #1 form of communication.
