they missed a trick by making the hawaii-inspired pokémon region's food item be malasadas rather than the already aptly named poke bowls

i suppose the reason they didnt do this would be the fact that poke tends to have seafood in it and they don't like showing non-vegetarian dishes in pokémon afaik (presumably to avoid the "it's pokémon you're eating" implication)

EDIT: i am wrong, pokémon food items do absolutely have meat in them sometimes. in that case what the hell game freak

@typhlosion disagree, on the st anne they had sausages & meats and the like and ash & misty stuffed their faces

@deejvalen the anime is quite a different beast from the games, especially back in the gen 1 and gen 2 days. modern pokémon is a lot more strict

that or they *do* eat pokemon like that thought of eating a sliced up Magikarp after the st anne sunk
