The concept of past lives is ... basically horseshit, because it's always "i was someone important, powerful, privileged and comfortable in MY past life!"
That said I have to wonder if there isn't something to it, because whenever hardtack or ship's biskit comes up I start salivating. Mm-mm! Dry ass bulletproof flour tiles! Just put that at the bottom of a bowl of beans and I'm good. No joke! Black beans and hardtack's a GREAT meal, try it sometime! ... Maybe spruce up the beans a bit.
My point is I have this weird Inner Peasant and it's real hard to ignore sometimes.

@Edelwood there's a youtube channel called Tasting History with Max Miller where he does various historical recipes, and i think he's done like three different recipes that involve hardtack, you might enjoy watching those :>
Oh I'm a fan of him already, haha! I think I've probably watched all of those, in fact the recent one on Lobscouse is what got this ramble going.
