i just wanted to research options for making a custom gba shell. how did i get down a rabbit hole that goes as deep as googling "variable height inkjet nozzle"
actually i know exactly how. i saw this gorgeous shell: https://retrogamerepairshop.com/collections/gba-shells/products/funnyplaying-game-boy-advance-uv-printed-laminated-ready-shell-384 (image attached) and decided i'd look into what it would take to get a custom design printed like this

@typhlosion I feel like the easiest way would be to pay someone else who has already spend 3 grand on a specialized printer, but unfortunately I can offer no leads in this regard
@typhlosion might be worth looking into ways to print on hydrographic film (or order custom-printed hydrographic film), and then do a water transfer print
@typhlosion or just print on vinyl and use a heat gun?
@imyxh water transfer feels like overkill for this particular case - the front shell's surface is almost entirely flat with maybe 2mm of bevel on the sides

@typhlosion Fun fact: every box-legendary's localized name is a direct transcription of its Japanese name! So, why þey chose to spell it "Rayquaza" will forever be beyond me; þat is just one too many a's!
@OchotonidKnight i was wondering that myself when i double checked that rekkuuza is indeed the jpn name for rayquaza. i wonder how they got from that to this
