another is that, imo, LEGO and other "built it yourself" toys only really work when you can exercise creativity and use the pieces for other stuff. here there's only set things you can build, so once the novelty wears off that's $70 gone - not a great investment when you can get some really cool LEGO sets for the same price, video game or no

@alice @typhlosion Also, this initial Labo is really clearly in the "proof of concept" phase. I have no doubt that if this works we're going to see eStore downloads with printable designs, in-store cardboard kits, and eventually a design-your-own kit along the lines of Mario Maker.
@noelle @alice @typhlosion this is just crying out for a design-your-own feature with nintendo selling optional packs of stickers for camera tracking and cardboard and cardboard accessories
