two of my games (C.H.E.A.T. and Atari 2600 Myst) were nominated for awards in this year's annual Atari Homebrew competition over at atariage

I have to say this info is going straight into my promotion and tenure packet

you, foolish, jesteresque: the message of idiocracy is that we should stop the poor from reproducing

me, wise, enlightened: the message of idiocracy is that massive corporations lie to your face for profit and the dumbest possible state of a society is to be run entirely by them

they should make a Densha de GO!! mtg set so we can do multi-track drafting

if sibelius was a modern pop musician would his diehard fans be called siblings

@nytpu @niss these journey to the west adaptations are getting out of hand

my email inbox is completely unusable. it must be bandcamp friday

genital stuff, gender thinks

@Hearth lmao i was having similar thoughts

genital stuff, gender thinks

do they make prosthetic human testicles and are they available to trans folks who want an orchiectomy for hormone reasons but don't want to lose their balls

bottom surgery fund :boost_ok:

If anyone wants to chip in in my bottom surgery fund, you can do so via ko-fi or GFM

I try to keep the amount updated on both to better reflect everything

re: Lewd, appropriating name of religious bigot

@DotMaetrix calling my yuri zines "chick tracts" as a form of reclamation

@lioness also, like many good roguelites, this game is absolutely lousy with unlocks and meta progression, so there's almost always something new to do or try or look for, which gives it huge replay value

@lioness you attack automatically and the only input you have in the moment-to-moment gameplay is moving around and selecting which powerup you get when you level up, which sounds boring but winds up being quite satisfying, because you get strong enough over the course of a run that you wind up mowing down huge hordes of the smaller enemies

also runs have a time limit, usually 30 minutes, which makes it easy to play for short periods. you CAN circumvent the limit but not til much later

@silverhawke vampire survivors went on early access in 2021 and came out fully in 2022. to my understanding it gets regular updates still. but around the time it was exploding in popularity and showing up in the game journalisms and stuff, i didn't play it

@chirpbirb i dont even have the excuse of not being able to afford a cutting edge computer, i built myself a whole new one just a few months ago. im just easily distractable and also my backlog is enormous

i'm feeling a bit like the guy from xkcd #606 lately because it seems i get on games a few years after the period where they're in vogue, but ive been playing a lot of vampire survivors lately and wow i get why this game inspired a whole microgenre
