お名前は本田さん?えっと、最初の二人の本田はどこですか?

tryin to break down a japanese thing (cw cartoon eye contact in the picture)

i know what all of these individual parts mean but im still not entirely clear on how they fit together

i guess if i had to break it down itd be like

masaka (an exclamation kinda deal, vaguely but not literally "i can't believe it/there's no way")
sore wa honto no hanashi ja nai ("that's not a true story")
deshou (", probably")
ne (", right?")

@yeenbean well yeah, in THIS context it's obvious, but i want to make it clear in ALL contexts

@hi_cial as i said in another post, google translate seemed to assume ゲー was short for ゲーム, like in モバゲー or such. i know google translate assumes a lot of things without context but i figured i'd disambiguate anyway

@yeenbean google translate seemed to assume ゲー was short for ゲーム, like in モバゲー or such

im making my own satirical version of the disneyworld tiki room, but i have one bird too many. it's a parroty parody parity error

@IceWolf @Felthry github.com/python/devguide/pul

this bear is threatening me (cw: cartoon eye contact) (redrafted to correct the image caption)
