my thought was, maybe some days he doesnt "feel like" running, similar to how when im struggling to do something i "dont feel like" doing it for some nebulous reason i cant place

And as an anarchist, I think people ought to be able to do what they want, or as much as possible of what they want. Perhaps it’s worth thinking about the difference between “everyone ought to be able” and “everyone ought to have the opportunity”. Particularly if you really think what it means to to give everyone an opportunity. (Hint: it’s not just having open days at your urban hackerspace.)

I’m starting to realise “everyone ought to know how to” really annoys me as a type of opinion. On fedi it’s usually “program” of “repair appliances”, which doesn’t help, but on a visceral level I think I spent too much of my childhood hearing about all the things I ought to be able to do but couldn’t,
because of adhd, or toxic people, or complete and utter lack of interest

they were basically singlehandedly responsible for the push toward accurate snes emulation, and they were a legend in game preservation
a harassment campaign by kiwifarms drove near to suicide
in near we have lost a great mind. i hope they find peace in rest, and i hope the murderers responsible for this never have peace again
