Hi, Im runKleisli!
Im asking for $200/mo to cover the rest of my rent & utilities.
I was recently forced out of my home by ppl using a pattern of harrassment & gaslighting leading up to a domestic violence incident, & this forced me to detransition while homeless, as they withheld my medication & it was unsafe to take it & keep it w/ me. To get to a place where I was safe & could safely take my medication ASAP, I signed a lease at a place thats not affordable for me w/out this assistance. Im permanently disabled.
I draw, write math & interactive programs, & blog about poverty reduction & techs role in it!
Longterm, I need $1000/mo to cover my living expenses w/out relying on govt benefits, w/c are often cut off w/out notice in my XP.

mandatory #accessibility classes for everyone who at any point wishes to build things that others will use
#programming peeps, i'm looking at you
also, scientists who make up the horrible notations others have to deal with, yall are also guilty
also:
- bureaucrats who make crappy paper forms
- artists and art focused websites

It's official! I'm coming to visit Seattle from June 14th to June 17th! If you live in the Seattle area and want to see a fox, let me know!
Boosts appreciated because everyone has different schedules and this is probably VERY early for most of you.
i've heard programming described as building castles in the sky out of pure thought-stuff. well, even the laputans visited the lands below from time to time
hell, even in the other sciences you get at least a little bit of the history and current relevance of the field along with the sciencey stuff. but with comp sci, no, it's straight into the java, straight into the algorithms, straight into the networking protocols, with very little if any teaching about where the field comes from, let alone how it relates to the users of hardware and software

It's frankly unhealthy that the way that we resolve conflicts is through cancellation rather than mediation. There's no room for people to change their behavior.
This is something deeply ingrained in our human sense of justice, though. If we don't SEE someone hurt in a manner appropriate for the damage they've done we feel unfulfilled.
Mediation is private while cancellation is public and social and so it isn't satisfying.
