food, mental health victory
it's true that "two pieces of toast with peanut butter and some fruit on it" is not exactly a culinary tour de force, but the fact that i got myself to make some food that involved more effort than putting a thing in a microwave is actually a pretty significant victory for me
also it tasted good. sourdough toast with peanut butter and fresh fruit is good, it turns out

It sucks that there's not a really centralized place for blind hackers. There's a lot of tallent out there, but it feels very fragmented. My close circle contains me, and 2 or 3 other hackers. Not all of them are coders, but they're hackers nonetheless. Perhaps it's an age thing, my crowd for example is people in their late teens or early 20s, and older people tend to be more apprehensive when hanging around younger people, and I also have experienced anxiety when reaching out to those older and more experienced than me. I've hung around some hackers that are almost double my age though and it was fine, so that's probably a false concern. But like, amazing things have happened with small circles. NVDA Remote came from 2 people, as did NVDA in the beginning. System access was made by one person. Quinter came from 2 people. My point is, we have so much tallent around here, but it's scattered. Just imagining all that could come from us having a centralized place to share ideas, help with projects, etc. Perhaps the small circles are what let projects thrive, though. Less arguing about how stuff should work, etc. More manpower doesn't automatically mean quality will go up, but it could still be very interesting, if nothing else to just create a communication channel to float ideas, even if larger collaboration would be difficult.
just before i woke up i dreamt that there was a new genre of poetry where, in between each stanza, you include a link to a relevant tv tropes article and an excerpt of it that leads into the next stanza
i can't even give you an example of what i mean because i think it's too high concept for my puny mind
