the laptop they gave me for work has windows 11 on it, and of all the issues i've had with it so far, "sometimes your mouse doesn't show up when you log in" is my favorite

i think things really started going downhill once it became mainstream to say "social media" instead of "a website" or even just "online"
there is nothing ambiguous about "i posted it online" and certainly nothing extra added by "i posted it on social media", except perhaps the oily sensation i get from the latter sentence

WebGPU, the new graphics API for JavaScript, shipped in a stable web browser (Chrome 113) about… an hour ago!
I have written a blog post about it, covering a brief (okay, not brief) history of graphics APIs to ~situate WebGPU in a context~, a brief general guide to writing WebGPU, and some specific resources for making WebGPU projects in TypeScript, Rust, and C++ (you can use it on desktop! it doesn't have to be in a browser).
I think WebGPU is really good.

i took the rf shield out of my nes a while ago to make it easier to get to the internals, and also because i kinda want to get a clear case for it eventually. but what if i got the clear case, but put the rf shield back inside - with stickers on it that are visible through the case? is this a bad idea or am i onto something potentially giga brain here
