the problem with food is that it's an experience for all of the senses that goes beyond simply the taste and texture of the food. the feeling of a container in your hand or against your lips, the way something hits your nose or palate, all change how a dish or drink comes off to you
which is why when i make my microwave yakisoba i have to eat it with a plastic fork. it doesn't hit right otherwise

"so this fuckin' guy comes in all color-outta-space, backs up comm ave all the way to the reservoir! i just want my fuckin' dunks! everyone's avertin' their eyes, 'cept the nice homeless lady who sleeps near packards corner, i didn't see her actin' no different anyhow - so i get out my car and walk up arms out like 'hey chowderhead! it's the morning fuckin' rush!' and out he comes with his yah-yah-fitaggin bullshit, i dunno, sounded like italian or something, so i says 'you a yank? go back to central station, y'ugly tool!' and BAM, 28 inches of aluminum straight to the dome, or what i thought was the dome. don't remember much of what happened after that, but i woke up gettin' dragged out of the charles by a trader joes worker who'd banged out for a smoke"

I love nature and green spaces, Goth aesthetics and cryptids, high fantasy stories and creatures, and learning about ancient history and cultures old and new around the world.
