Oh wow.
Anna Anthtropy published the slides for her introduction to games design course called games literacy
https://w.itch.io/games-literacy
Alongside this she shared an overview of her class (please do not click edit on that link)

This is not a full syllabus but yeah, p useful if you wanna know about games
Interesting C++ corner case that I occasionally get reminded of: pure virtual functions /can/ have implementations.

hey, in case you're wonderin, dusk is more or less out now! if you buy it before the 10th you get some extra goodies, but the proper "launch" and launch sale is on the 10th, so it's up to you if you wanna pay in a little more and get the comic, or get the game a few bucks cheaper in a couple days
i've had a blast working on the game with david and the rest of our little team, and i'm excited to see what yall think of it!
Thread for newcomers: CWs
Content Warnings are perhaps one of the most notable features of Mastodon. With them, you can hide your posts, including images, behind a warning. It works just like spoiler tags on old BBCode forums, if you experienced those!
Nearly all instances will require you to put a content warning on sensitive stuff, like porn, talks about politics, mental health issues, violence... And anything in general that might cause distress to anyone, or make them unsafe.
Some people also use it as a subject field, just like for emails. While this is not required here, it is required that you put a content warning on sensitive stuff like I mentioned just before.
Also, try to be descriptive! What I mean is, if you post porn with specific kinks, you can add them in the content warning!
CWs part 2
Content Warnings my feel like self-censorship at first, but keep in mind that it's actually not preventing you to talk about everything you want, while letting you and everyone else the choice of the content they want to expose themselves to. This helps a lot of people feel safe here, and is the reason why many people stuck with Mastodon. So, use them, please! I can guarantee, after a year and a half as an user, and nearly a year as an instance administrator, that it does not lower the reach of your posts, quite the contrary!
To add a content warning, simply click on the "CW" icon below the box where you type your posts. When you upload an image or a media, you can also mark them as sensitive by clicking on the eye icon. This is done automatically when you add a CW to your post.
