oop, you're right, I didn't see the first part, just the bullet points.
On Werelist, at least, we held a couple surveys, but for some odd reason anyone who ever organized the survey ended up leaving the community directly afterwards.

from what I know (as an admin on Werelist for many years), the jury is out on that.
some therians, like myself, believe therianthropy fits under the otherkin umbrella despite not sharing many characteristics with them except the core concept.
some therians think we're separate but still vaguely similar, like kobolds and lizard people.
