@Trev@icosahedron.website if someone doesn't trust you it's prolly better to let them have their space than to try to keep up with them imo
sometimes folks need to cordon themselves off to be ok. i try not to blame folks who do this, nor take it personally, though that's sometimes hard

kinda what Crom's saying -- and honestly, I have a hard time feeling okay about letting myself consider "extending kindness" a waste
(except to actual enemies)
but to people who are suspicious of me, well -- I'm worth being suspicious of, honestly, even in my own mind
I don't blame people for it, but maybe that's just me -- it doesn't sting, it seems rational that people don't trust me
I mostly don't trust people, and I sure as shit don't trust myself :\

@sydneyfalk @Trev@icosahedron.website even if you don't trust yourself- that doesn't mean you exclusively as you are is a reason to be untrusted
the point i'm trying to make is- it's not necessarily even about you, right? it's not necessarily personal, even if it kinda feels like it is
this is why i'm cool with people shitting on men and things like that. it's not about me, it's about the group i belong to in general being bad even if i might not be

Intellectually I knew this but it's still hard to see a group I happen to be part of by accident of birth or whatever get painted with broad strokes, so it's always good to have the reminder that it isn't about me and that I need to not interfere with people having their space to vent.

ideally it's not taken personally when it's recognized as an issue about groups and such
(but I also recognize I'm not Most People, most people seem insulted by stuff I don't understand very much)
