Ah.

Sierra history, queerphobia, child death, racism, bad#@!@

"Open Season starts out horribly grim, with Carey, in dark South Central L.A., finds a slain cop and a black child in a dumpster. Carey follows leads into bleak corners of the grimy city, until the game lurches totally into lurid, hysterical hell, ending with Carey incinerating the killer—a cross-dressing man who is given about as much humanity and depth in this story as you'd expect—with an improvised blowtorch. He gets a medal for it."

Re: Sierra history (---)

@vahnj I had no idea.

I used to adore Space and King's Quest. Police Quest wasn't one I ever played, but not because I didn't want to.

Damnit. It feels like nothing is truly sacred in this world. >..<

Re: Sierra history (---)

@mawr The first 3 games were actually really good. Jim Walls did a great job of being fair. He tackled police corruption even.

Re: Sierra history (---)

@mawr I tried the 4th one. I hated it immediately and was utterly repulsed by finding the corpses mentioned in the article.

Ken Williams is a fucking piece of trash and I'm glad I know
