???, death, senseless violence, guns
Varmitting as a concept, shooting animals with rifles powerful enough to vaporize them, killing literally for killing's sake.
I watched my dad aim and fire and kill a flying crow with a rifle, a impressive feat for sure but was it really worth the body cooling on the snow? Fuck, I thought it was cool at the time and now I just wonder what the fuck it served besides proving how much better a shot he was than I.
re: ???, death, senseless violence, guns
That is definitely needless death. Crows and birds in general can be dealt with non-lethally.
Gophers.. moles and the like I totally get. They eat your crops and there isn't a lot you can do to stop them.
Same for White Tail-Deer in a lot of areas. They can jump any reasonable fence you put up and can since we killed all their natural predators are a huge pita.
